This July, AWS communities in ASEAN wrote a new history. First, the AWS User Group Malaysia recently held the first AWS Community Day in Malaysia. Another significant milestone has been achieved by the AWS User Group Philippines. They just celebrated their tenth anniversary by running 2 days of AWS Community Day Philippines. AWS Fargate Enables Faster Container Startup using Seekable OCI
While developing with containers is becoming an increasingly popular way for deploying and scaling applications, there are still areas where improvements can be made. One of the main issues with scaling containerized applications is the long startup time, especially during scale up when newer instances need to be added. This issue can have a negative impact on the customer experience, for example when a website needs to scale out to serve additional traffic. To achieve this goal, many companies turn to Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications. This approach allows companies to optimize their workflows, enhance employee productivity, and focus their resources on core business activities rather than software development and maintenance. As the use of SaaS applications expands, there’s an increasing need for solutions that can proactively identify and address potential security threats to maintain uninterrupted business operations. Security teams spend time monitoring application usage data for threats or suspicious behavior, and they’re responsible for maintaining security oversight to meet regulatory and compliance requirements. Unfortunately, integrating SaaS applications with existing security tools requires…
