New – Amazon EC2 C7a Instances Powered By 4th Gen AMD EPYC Processors for Compute Optimized Workloads

We launched the compute optimized Amazon EC2 C6a instances in February 2022 powered by 3rd Gen AMD EPYC (Milan) processors, running at frequencies up to 3.6 GHz. Today, we’re announcing the general availability of new, compute optimized Amazon EC2 C7a instances, powered by the 4th Gen AMD EPYC (Genoa) processors with a maximum frequency of 3.7 GHz, which offer up to 50 percent higher performance compared to C6a instances. You can use this increased performance to process data faster, consolidate workloads, and lower the cost of ownership.
